What SALT is About
Here at SALT, we stan Environmental Conservation.
Environmental conservation is an umbrella term for anything that is done in protection of the plant and its natural resources needed for an improved quality of life.
The ocean is the largest ecosystem on Earth, it is the planet’s life support system. Oceans generate half of the oxygen we breathe and, at any given moment, they contain more than 97% of the world’s water. Oceans provide at least a sixth of the animal protein people eat. Living oceans absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reduce climate change impacts. The diversity and productivity of the world’s oceans is a vital interest in humankind. Our security, our economy, our very survival all require healthy oceans.
We need to know that we belong to something bigger than ourselves and must do our part in protecting the only planet that we have.
How does SALT get involved?
We partner with non-profit organizations, such as Oceana and Marine Conversation Institute, to sponsor conservation events. We also donate 25% of our profits to various conservation nonprofits and research efforts for continual growth and environmental impact. Follow us on social media for updates on events we sponsor and partake in!
